Truth and Reconciliation Day at the Gabriola Museum

Commemoration ceremony: 10:30 to 11:30am

with a traditional welcome by SFN Elders C'tasi:a Geraldine Manson and Dave Laxiya Bodaly.

Music and dance by the Qwam Qwum Dancers.

Elder C'tasi:a sharing stories of her personal residential school experiences

followed by a Reflection Walk led by Elder C'tasi:a and Lisa Webster along the Native Plant Trail

There will be outdoor booths showcasing Snuneymuxw First Nations's thriving arts and culture including Indigenous fashion and jewelry design by Ay Lelum, Cedar and wool weaving by Chenoa Point, Indigenous plants and their uses by Elder C'tasi:a, and bannock and salmon from Elder Lorna Johnny

There will be face painting and other children's crafts 

The museum will be open to visitors
