Join us on Aug 6th on the front lawn at the Gabriola Surf Lodge and pub 885 Berry Point Road
for the 1st Annual Asanas for Gabriola ALS Fundraising Event
Enjoy 4 yoga classes .. beginning at 9:00 a.m. and ending at 11:45.. Classes are by donation
I will be sharing more information on all of the wonderful teachers that will be conducting the classes..
there will also be a silent auction more details to come
What is ALS
ALS, also known as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis or Lou Gehrig's disease, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that attacks nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.
this weakens muscles over time, leading to difficulty speaking, swallowing, moving, and eventually breathing.
ALS is a terminal illness, with most people living two to five years after diagnosis.
