Hello, fellow Gabriolans! I am now working at our local museum, so come on in and say hi!

Canada Day is approaching us fast! Come join us at the Gabriola Museum this coming Monday, July 1st, as we come together to celebrate Canada!

Consider coming 15 minutes before the opening ceremony at 1 pm, so as not to miss the prayer led by C'tasia, Elder Geraldine Manson.

We aim to facilitate meaningful relations between our Gabriola community, the local RCMP, and our Indigenous partners.

While a celebration of our shared heritage as Canadians and love for Canada, we recognize the sensitivities and challenges between police and Indigenous peoples, and by coming together, we aim to foster dialogue, respect, and understanding.

Some other activities include a flag raising, live music, fry bread made by Elder Lorna Johnny, cake and cupcakes, and a scavenger hunt for the kiddos!
