Cheri is an Award winning Actor/Singer/Songwriter & Playwright of Mohawk & Irish ancestry, of the Six Nations of the Grand River Territory. Cheri’s musical endeavours include being the front woman for the Cheri Maracle Jazz quartet. Cheri’s first solo album garnered 7 music nominations within the Indigenous Music Awards circuit. Cheri has travelled as far as India, to perform with her piano player Brendan Peltier, and they continue to play festivals and events all over Canada. Post re-location from her Ontario digs recently Cheri performed locally at the Surrey Fusion Fest., the Bill Reid Art gallery, the Firehall Arts Centre Fundraiser, and The Clough club in Gastown, Vancouver.
