Thursday, August 10, 2023 will be the Gabriola Lions Club's 25th Concert on the Green.
The Green is of course our scenic golf course on Gabriola Island where over a thousand spectators gather every August. This year the Gabriola Lions have the original Tom Lavin and the Legendary Powder Blues Band performing as the main act. Powder Blues has sold over a million albums around the world and recorded platinum and gold records. We are delighted to host such a notable dance band on our Island and would like to invite people to check the Gabriola Lions website for tickets.
Opening the concert will be The Road Poets...who are a country rock band with original songs about someone's favourite old truck, an island named Gabriola, and a tune telling us about what we went through with Covid...they are well known around our area and we are pleased they are performing at this year's event.
Food and refreshments are available, as well as parking and everything else you would expect at an outdoor event.
The Gabriola Lions hope to see you at this year's concert ...It's our 25th, a great chance to enjoy the sounds of Tom Lavin and the Legendary Powder Blues Band with opening band The Road Poets.
Please try to carpool to the event as higher than usual crowds will be attending.

Gates will open at 3:30 pm
