Voices in My Body is an immersive, bilingual performance that invites audiences to explore the complexities of human emotion through four distinct characters, each representing different internal voices—from social anxiety and overwhelm to jealousy and deep love. Inspired by the choreographers’ real lives and rooted in the psychological framework of Internal Family Systems, the piece uses movement and dance to make these inner experiences visible, offering a raw and resonant emotional journey. Performed outdoors using “silent disco” technology, audience members wear headsets for an intimate, high-quality musical experience, with the option to hear the show in either English or French—bringing together diverse communities through a shared artistic lens.

Produced by Murmur, a new artist-run collective based in Nanaimo, the show champions underrepresented voices, including emerging artists, non-English speakers, LGBTQIA+ communities, and marginalized cultural groups.
