Gabriola Dance Performance Team

Description

The Gabriola Performance Dance team, ranging in age from 10-16 years old, work hard all year to attend festivals in the Spring, winning medals for their delightfully choreographed pieces. The troupe is very excited to share their talents with you in a series of shorts, reunited with their former team member and award-winning senior dancer, Liam Hurley performing improvised dances.

All of this is made possible by the passion and dedication of Mara Brenner, Artistic Director/Lead Choreographer/Owner of Gabriola Dance and Pilates since 2009. Mara is an experienced and fully certified teacher who instills confidence in the families that bring their children to explore the world of dance. Alongside Mara’s original choreography, you will see the expressive and dynamic pieces of Reese Standerwick, Moira Wishinski, and Annelise Jensen.

May 18th at 6pm | Gabriola Arts & Heritage Centre | by donation to the Gabriola Dance Bursary Fund, making dance more accessible to all.

Two food trucks will be on site. Seating is limited, so arrive early, doors at 5:30pm.
