John Poirier was a fixture on the shores and in the forests of Gabriola. His eye through his camera, capturing the natural beauty and mystery of our island. John also spent considerable time in the North and documented wild landscapes and a life most could not imagine.

MJ Patterson and Anne Poirier said goodbye to John on May 26, 2025 when he passed away at their home. Now they are ready to share his work with the public.

Join them and their extended family for John Poirier: A Retrospective & Sale, August 14-16th at the Gabriola Arts & Heritage Centre.

There will be an opening event on the Friday from 5-9pm. Gallery hours Saturday 10-4pm, Sunday 12-4pm where you can purchases some of John's work, talk to MJ and Anne, meet some extended family members.
