Welcome to a concert with original music by a band all the way from Norway! Inspired by Norwegian Folk and Jazz music to create a new sound!

Milan Stanga is the drummer, and former preschool student of Jasmine's, and he drummed in The Boytles Band for last years Concert on the Green, with family on Gabriola! 

Ti Meter I Taket 

Is translated from Norwegian to mean Ten Meters in the Ceiling!

Our band takes music from all across the world to create a new original sound. Members coming from Canada, Northern and Southern Norway, this trio defies distance to create an exciting new blend of folk, pop, and jazz. 

In Scandinavia there is a form of school that allows musicians to work together without stress of exams and deadlines, but generates the magic that music brings. 

We are a trio that met at one of these schools last year called Toneheim Folkehøgskole. We spent the year writing music, becoming good friends and performing as much as possible. Our music is found at the intersection of jazz, Norwegian folk, and pop, with a focus on good grooves and improvisation, so no two concerts are close to the same! 

We have members from all over the world, (or at least Canada and Norway) and our backgrounds musically are all very different.  Since we usually live on different continents, it is always an extremely exciting event when we can bring our musical cultures together through the joy of sound. We try to use our music to communicate what it feels like to be a young person curious to try new things and explore sound through music.

We have performed at different locations in Norway but have yet to perform in the Drummers home in Canada!
