Shield Maiden Play

Travel back one last time and join the rowdy crowd at a 10th century Viking TedTalk. Ingrid Larsdöttir, bad ass warrior, offers simple how-to's and practical advice to help you embrace YOUR inner warrior and live your life like a true Shield Maiden!

Dress up as your own inner warrior and make the crowd even rowdier! There will be a post show discussion so bring your questions, stay for photos with Ingrid and tell her goodbye and Sköl! ASL interpreter for the Deaf/HoH community provided.

Melanie Teichroeb (Playwright/performer) and Sandy Cumberland (Production Manager) have toured Shield Maiden to New York City, Austin, Texas, Nanaimo and all across BC. After this performance on Gabriola, they head to Vancouver for a week of shows then across the pond to the UK.
