Description
Saturday, June 1st Join GaLTT leaders on a walk through the varied landscapes we are trying to protect, from one end of Gabriola to the other.
10 am: Start walking at Descanso Bay campground day use area Noon: bring a picnic for the stop at the end of Jeanette in the 707
2:15: stop or start rest stop at the end of Dorby (Nelder’s Pond)
3:45: (approx) finish at Page’s Marina at the end of Coast Road. Drinks/snacks available for purchase at Page’s store.
EXTREMELY LIMITED PARKING AT PAGES. GERTIE will be available to drive you back to your vehicle (or drop you on North and South Road). Please bring cash for a donation to cover Gertie costs. No registration required but people on their own should check in with a GaLTT volunteer and provide an emergency contact number. Hazards on the trails include uneven footing, several short, sharp hills and vehicular traffic. Email programs@galtt.ca with questions GaLTT's End to End Hike June 1 is BC TRAILS DAY! While there is no fee to join the walk, donations to GaLTT are very much appreciated. Every year, GaLTT spends thousands of dollars on trail construction and maintenance.
