Triology, formed in 2008, is a Canadian jazz trio inspired by classic groups like those of Nat King Cole and Oscar Peterson. Featuring three of the country's top jazz musicians, they perform lively and entertaining arrangements of jazz standards alongside original compositions.

They are coming to Gabriola to celebrate the release of their brand new album "The Slow Road" (Cellar Live)
https://triologyjazz.bandcamp.com/album/the-slow-road  which features celebrated tenor saxophonist Scott Hamilton. Mike Allen will be stepping into some big shoes to fill Hamilton's role on a few numbers.

Triology is comprised of three of Canada’s top jazz musicians:
  • Bill Coon – A fluid and accomplished guitarist originally from Montreal, with over 25 years of experience. He has performed with jazz legends such as Jimmy Heath, Eddie Daniels, and Dr. Lonnie Smith.

  • Jodi Proznick – One of Canada's most in-demand bassists, known for her work with groups like the Jill Townsend Big Band and the Oliver Gannon Quartet. She has accompanied jazz greats including George Coleman, David "Fathead" Newman, and Sheila Jordan.

  • Miles Black – A world-renowned pianist and composer with over 40 years of experience. He has recorded extensively and worked with prominent artists such as Max Roach, Lew Tabackin, Houston Person, and Harry "Sweets" Edison.
