Winter Soltice Open Mic at the Poetry Yurt

An event for the whole family!

When: The Commons Poetry Yurt - Dec. 18th/ 430-630 pm

The Commons invites you to celebrate the Winter Solstice with community, warm drinks, snacks and Gabriola's favourite: an open mic!

We invite poets & musicians of all ages to come and bring their gifts to the stage.

In honour of the solstice, we encourage uplifting tunes and poetry to warm our spirits during these cold, wet days.

What's Provided:

A simple sound system for musicians and poets

Tea and warm apple cider

Cookies & snacks (no food in the yurt please)

Kids craft table

What to bring:

An empty cup for tea or warm apple cider

A blanket or cushion to sit on inside the yurt (some chairs will be out)
